Order online Cialis Soft 20 mg   1) Was it a good match between you and your mentor/protégé? Please explain why.

“great. easy going sharp. wants to absorb other peoples experiences”

“IN MY CASE, I CAN SAY YES TO THAT, I THINK BECAUSE THE NATURE OF EDMON’S START-UP WAS IN LINE WITH MY TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE AS WELL AS BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE.”

“It is. We are coming from the industry. My mentor can understand what challenges I would come across in my work and can easily offer relevant solutions. She has been in the industry for a long time as well, thus know better on how I should plan my career. “

“It was a perfect match between me and my mentor mainly because we share a similar background and career path. Jack spent time in Canada and studied Accounting, after that he had a successful career in the Big4. I just started to work in PwC. He knows the industry and he has a lot to share, many useful advice were given,it gives me a better sense of control and orientation. Right now I just need to apply them and work on it myself.”

“I think it was a pretty good match. My Mentor being in PE and having had angel investment experience allowed him to provide some very interesting perspective on some of my projects as well as for giving me career advice.”

2) Have you met six (6) times with your mentor/protégé? If not, why?

“ just short of 6. timing conflicts”

“NO. LACK OF TIME / OVERLAP FROM BOTH SIDES. THIS DOES NOT REALLY MATTER IN MY OPINION. WHAT WAS IMPORTANT WAS TO HAVE MEANINGFUL MEETINGS ADDRESSING / DISCUSSING THE REAL ISSUES.”

“Yes”

“I’m sorry that I didn’t record the times of meeting diligently. We just organize meetings regularly and casually based on our schedules. After the first 2 meet ups, I think we are quite comfortable of the mentorship. As I’m facing many new challenges from time to time and Jack is very generous to share his opinion, so I basically contacted him whenever I need some guidance therefore I didn’t follow strictly the program schedule. But Jack was more organized, he would contact me i think around every 4 weeks for a meeting to learn about my progress.”

“No, it was difficult to reconcile our schedules.”

 3) Will you maintain the relationship with your mentor/protégé after the end of the formal Programme? Please explain why.

“yes”

“WE DID NOT DISCUSS THAT BUT I WOULD BE OPEN TO MAINTAIN IT.”

“Yes. After 6 meetings, we have already developed a close connection, not only on mentor/ mentee basis, but more like friends. Someone you know you can definitely reach out to without hesitation and give you advice on your life and career.”

“Absolutely, I feel that there will be more and more new challenges to face at work. I will need Jack’s guidance on many things. He is the best person to help me.”

“I hope so. for my project, I have shared with my Mentor the progress literally from the idea conception – first business plan – and now it is in development. I hope that while this project continues, I can continue to ask for feedback, if he is willing :)

4) Did you benefit from this mentor-protégé relationship and how?

“absolutely. made me discover new industry”

“IT’S ALWAYS FUN TO INTERACT WITH YOUNGER PEOPLE WITH NEW IDEAS… I GUESS THAT THIS QUESTION IS MORE FOR THE PROTEGE TO ANSWER THAN THE MENTOR.”

“Yes. Mainly on my working attitude and my life mentality. Before meeting my mentor, I was kind of stagnant and passive in my career. I know I’m kind of stuck in somewhere and have no other way out. My mentor is the one who lets me know a small changes in my life or mindset could already bring about a huge impact in my career. For example, a take-way from my last meeting, as long as my company sees value in me, they will find a way to retain you. This gives me a lot of incentive to close more projects which I found is not that difficult actually.”

“With my Mentor’s advice, I feel that I have a better sense of direction and I’m better equipped. The path is clearer even though many uncertainties still lie ahead of me, but I’m more confident to face the unknown because I know that I have someone there to offer advice and an helping hand when I encounter difficulties. In our past meetings, when I talked to him about some difficult situations I had to face, he was able to point out the improper ways in my handling of things, he was very supportive to show me the right method he learned from his experience. His new angles of seeing things opens my eyes. But above all, it is this newly acquired sense of confidence facing the unknown that I appreciate the most.”

“I think I have benefited from it. Considering my background and the circles I am in, the nature of the feedback I received from my Mentor is not readily available for me. My Mentor has allowed me to question many aspects of my project which I might have not otherwise challenged without this relationship.”

5) Is there anything you would change or would you have any suggestions concerning the structure of the Programme?

“very well organized”

“NO”

“There should also be a constant meeting among the mentees so that I know what other mentees are benefiting from their mentors and thus what I should expect more from my mentor as well. I just feel that there may be sometimes too much similarity between my mentor and I that there can hardly some “sparks” or “new ideas” coming out. Whereas if I have the chance to interact with the mentor/ mentee from another group/ industry, I may obtain more inspiration from the other side. (This is just my own feeling. I am not ruling out the benefit of having a mentor from the same industry. And by coincidence, I happen to get acquainted with the mentor of another group!)”

“I am fortunate to pair up with my Mentor, we are very compatible. But I can imagine it could be hard in the beginning in some cases. To me, the main factor to a successful mentorship is Trust, which could be hard to be built in the beginning. We were introduced to our mentors and then we were left on our own. The initiation is a little abrupt. I think it would be great that CanCham can organize a few “team building” activities (e.g. sports, volunteering events) to help enhance the relationship b/w mentees and mentors in the beginning.”

“Nothing comes to mind”

6) Would you recommend this Programme to people you know? (If you would like to recommend someone for the second edition of the Programme please let us know)

“SURE”

“Yes”

“I certainly would.”

“I would recommend it to people in internships, or finishing a university degree. It could also be useful for people just starting their careers.”

Finally, it would be much appreciated if you would be willing to offer a short personal testimonial for future promotion of the Programme. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

“The program is a great platform for seasoned Canadians in Hong Kong to engage the new generation of Canadians in the city to ensure they thrive in the region, in China and in Asia. The organisation of the program is really impressive in that it works hard to selected interested proteges and to identify the right match.”

“This is a very beneficial and good willing program. I’m fortunate to be part of it. The program gave me the opportunity to meet my Mentor and I treasure our relationship. I appreciate his generosity and all the things he shares. Facing all the uncertainties and challenges in a career, this mentorship program supplies me the confidence I need because I know that there’s someone out there ready to help me. I’m just grateful to be in this program.”
